Congratulations! We are so excited (and a bit envious) of your departure to South Africa! Are you petting a lion cub??? Where? How? After returning from Nigeria we have decided we love Africa and hope to go back again. When can we come visit? Love, Aunt Kim & Uncle Gary
Yes, I am indeed petting a lion cub! You’ll see a little grimace on my face because its claws (which are in my knee) are a bit more dangerous than those of our smaller, more domesticated feline friends. It was at the Lion Park in Johannesburg.
I’m glad to hear you safely returned from abroad and enjoyed your trip! I’d love to hear more!
You need a handheld gaming console for times like this.
Safe travels! And watch out for the hippos. And crocodiles. And anacondas. And anything with teeth. Or that is large. Or that isn’t nice. Does that cover it?
I don’t think she mentioned the bugs! How about ebola or west nile virus? Definitely wash your hands and sleep under misquito netting. If you see Zaboomafoo, can you get his autograph for Katie? She’s a big fan! We love you and can’t wait to follow your adventures!
Haha, thanks to all for the tips! I will make sure to keep my eyes out for those animals and anything that could be harmful. I promise, no more swimming in non-shark-protected areas!
